
Pyestock Bowling Club is one of the leading bowling clubs in North East Hampshire. It is a mixed Club with 55 gentlemen members and 25 lady members. The Club is affiliated to the Hampshire County Bowling Association, the Aldershot & District, the Hampshire County Ladies, the North Hants Ladies B. A. and the Civil Service B. A.
The Club welcomes all bowlers, experienced & new bowlers. Special coaching can be provided for the latter.
Throughout the season friendly matches and / or Club events are arranged for virtually every Weekend and Wednesday afternoons. The weekend friendly matches are arranged against other bowls clubs within a 20-mile radius of the Club on a home and away basis. These matches give all bowlers, especially the new ones the ideal opportunity to practise their skills.
In addition the Club enter National Competitions organised by the English B. A. for both men and ladies. The Club also have three men’s teams in the
The Club organises competitions between club members, these are played throughout the season with the finals held in September. Club members can also participate in competitions organised by the Hampshire County BA (Men and Ladies), the Aldershot & District BA and the North Hampshire Ladies B.A.
Bowlers enjoy a good social life and the games provide exercise and fitness at the same time. There is a myth that bowls is for the elderly, (the game you take up after cricket, tennis etc.) the Club welcomes all ages, young and retired.
